Preset Allowances

Overview

Payroll Tags can be used to assign allowances that are automatically triggered per each shift the employee works. 

Permissions

HQ: Full Access or Admin + Payroll

                           &

HR: Admin or Payroll permission is required

How to Apply

You can assign these under the employee's payroll profile:

💻 HR/Payroll > Payroll > Manage Payroll > Employee

  1. In the Details tab, scroll down until you reach Tags
  2. Start typing the name of the allowance tag you want to assign
  3. Click on the tag to select it
  4. Click Save

Bulk Apply Tags

💻 HR/Payroll > Payroll > Manage Payroll > Payroll Settings > Tags

  1. Click the number of tagged employees
  2. Tick employees to add the tag (you can remove tags in the same fashion)

Available Tags

Children's Services Award

First aid officerAssign this tag if you allocate the employee as a first aid officer for all shifts worked.
First aid officer (out of school hours care)Assign this tag if the employee is allocated as a first aid officer for all shifts worked and the employee is employed in out-of-school hours care.
Educational leader allowanceAssign this tag when an employee is required to discharge the responsibilities of the educational leader under Regulation 118 of the National Regulations. It only applies to teachers in the children’s services and early childhood education industry.
Qualifications allowanceAssign this tag to a Director or Assistant Director who holds a Graduate Certificate in Childcare Management or equivalent to get Qualifications allowance.
Term-time employeeAssign this tag if the employee is a term-time employee. It means you will pay for public holidays not worked at the ordinary rate of pay.
TIL of OT Assign this tag if the employee elects to always accrue time in lieu rather than be paid overtime.
UniformAssign this tag if the employee is required to launder any special clothing or articles of clothing and the uniform requires ironing.

Educational Services (Teachers) Award

Director's allowance level 1Assign this tag when an employee is appointed as a Director and the number of places in the centre for which they are responsible is up to 39.
Director's allowance level 2Assign this tag when an employee is appointed as a Director and the number of places in the centre for which they are responsible is from 40 to 59.
Director's allowance level 3Assign this tag when an employee is appointed as a Director and the number of places in the centre for which they are responsible for is 60 or more.
Educational leader allowanceAssign this tag when an employee is required to discharge the responsibilities of the educational leader under Regulation 118 of the National Regulations. This only applies to a teacher in the children’s services and early childhood education industry.
RDO entitlementAssign this tag to an employee where agreement has been made between the employee and employer that the employee will accrue 24 minutes for each 8-hour day worked to give the employee an entitlement to take rostered days off. This only applies to employees employed in early childhood services operating for at least 48 weeks per year.
Time in lieu of overtime Assign this tag if the employee elects to always accrue time in lieu rather than be paid overtime.
Leadership allowanceAssign this tag when an employer requires a teacher in a school to perform administrative, pastoral care and/or educational leadership duties additional to those usually required of teachers by the employer.
