Guide to Public Holidays

From Rosters to Payroll

Key Points

  • Staff need to be rostered in a room to be paid. Floaters is not classified as a room.
  • They should not check in or out for the public holiday

Rosters

If you want to indicate that the staff don't need to come into work, create a Public Holiday room and move the shifts to that room/location. Please don't convert the roster shifts to leave or delete them.
  • Optional: You can create a Public Holiday room/location for the roster to indicate staff don't need to clock in or out for this shift or come in to work.

Timesheets

Staff don't need to sign in/out for their shift since they didn't actually come into work. The system will detect that the day was a public holiday and use their rostered hours instead!
